John Gutierrez (AKA John G.) is a multi-faceted director, producer, creative and editor. He has directed commercial projects for luxury brands Hermès, Balvenie Whisky, Morgan Motors and premium brands like adidas and Huawei.
John earned his stripes as an editor on music videos for Beyonce, Duffy, Regina Spektor and many others. He edited the Tom Petty Documentary ‘Runnin’ Down a Dream’, directed by Peter Bogdanovich, which went on to win a Grammy award for best long form video.
His short films ‘Twilight of the Masters’, ‘Three Days Gone’, and ‘Equanimity’ have screened in several film festivals as well as being exhibited at the Balenciaga Museum in Spain, The Wallace Collection in London, The Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley and the Anthology Film Archive in New York.
John brings his years of experience in directing and editing films to create work that combines a distinctive, evocative visual language with strong, compelling narrative arcs.
John’s first feature film, The Gift, will be premiering at Cinequest in March 2021.
Taryn Kosviner is a writer, director, producer and cinematographer.
Over the past 15 years, her experience has ranged from writing, directing and shooting narrative short films to producing a multi-continent, branded documentary series for Red Bull and Microsoft.
Taryn’s first commercial - a PSA for GLSEN (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network) - won the SHOTS Young Director Award in Cannes that year and she was profiled in Shots Magazine as a “Hotshot of the Future”.
Since then she has directed work for many major brands, including Apple, Google, MINI and Bayer.
Taryn’s narrative work has been recognized at numerous film festivals. She was awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick for Sidney, an installment of her ongoing video portrait series.
When she is not shooting she’s at home in Brooklyn with her partner and 2 year old son.
